The Pathology Core Facility offers a full range of histopathology services for morphologic studies.
The Core also optimizes the use of supplies and equipment for all investigators at the NHLBI.
The Core utilizes highly skilled personnel and will deliver high quality histo-pathological research products by means of accurate and timely histo-pathology results.

Fresh Tissue slice
Fresh or Paraformaldehyde fixed soft tissues can be sliced into 100 microns or thicker (up to 1 mm by using vibratome. Tissue size should not larger than 10 mm in diameter.

Serial tissue sections mounted on positively charged glass slide. Two sections on each slide, unstained.

Evaluated histo-pathological changes and take representative photographs by Core staff.
